George was born and raised in Johnson County, and graduated from the University of Iowa in 1965 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. After the completion of college, George decided to work for his alma mater, and held the positions of Associate University Business Manager and Director of Physical Plant, to name a few. prepared him to be one of the best.
When George has time away from his business, he enjoys golf, following University of Iowa sports, reading, and remodeling his home. George has a great fondness for Iowa, the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area, and is a forty-plus year fan of the Hawkeyes.
